CFQ Qigong Carmel

Dr. Matt & Master Yap Soon Yeong, Penang, December 2011

I provide consultation, instruction and hands on therapeutic treatments utilizing Chaoyi Fanhuan Qigong (CFQ). Clients have reported significant improvements for many difficult conditions including: Asthma, Chronic Pain, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Stress, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, Migraines, Insomnia, Allergies, Diabetes, Tinitus and TMJ to name but a few. Statistical evidence of CFQ's effectiveness with Fibromyalgia can be viewed at:

Chaoyi Fanhuan Qigong (CFQ) “Go beyond mental process to return to source.”

CFQ restores health and balance to the practitioner by rescuing the mind from thought and returning it to the body.  Rescuing the mind is accomplished by softening and loosening the body and settling the mind/awareness down into physical body feeling. Doing so effectively allows for the release of the bundles of energetic stagnation and blockage that are the underlying cause of pain and disease. The release of stagnation and blockage allows more blood and healthy bio-energy to flow throughout the body thereby restoring balance, health and harmony to the mind, body and spirit.

CFQ is a ‘un-doing’ or letting-go approach to healing. CFQ uses no visualization, cultivation or gathering of energy of any kind.  CFQ reverses the normal hardening and compacting patterns of aging and disease thereby allowing the muscles, joints, tissues and organs to soften, open, release and realign.  As the mind is liberated from thoughts and restored to the body one can literally feel the cells start to vibrate and become more alive.

Hands on Table Treatments utilize Qigong Massage to facilitate the physical release of the stagnation and blockage within the body. Qigong Massage is both physical and energetic and utilizes hands on manipulation techniques similar to myofascial release, muscular massage, surface tissue sweeping and Tuina techniques. Clients can wear any "workout" type clothing that will allow easy access to, and manipulation of, the head, neck, arms, hands, legs, back and feet.

The practice of CFQ is divided into two Levels. Level 1 (Dynamic Healing Techniques) is a serires of soft gentle movements that brings one's mind/awareness back to body feeling and facilitates one's ability to let go of the blockages and stagnation that cause pain and disease. Level 2 (Meditation on Presence) deepens the process and healing effects by teaching the practitioner how to physically feel and release the hardening and compacting forces that are the underlying cause of pain and disease. Doing so offers the practitioner the experience of true rest, recuperation and healing.

With consistent practice the whole body is revitalized and restructured layer by layer. As practice progresses the body becomes softer and lighter with more resiliency, health, a clearer mind and calmer emotions thus making life's challenges easier to navigate and bringing a greater sense of peace and joy.

CFQ was founded in 1991 by Master Yap Soon-Yeong of Malaysia after he received insights on life and the cause of disease while experiencing his own cathartic healing event. He began formally teaching CFQ in 1995 and continued to actively treat and instruct clients until his public retirement in January of 2015.
